At the Science of Leadership conference in Armenia, our co-founder Dr Tarek Jomaa drew on his background in motorsport engineering to unpack what high performance really looks like in leadership.

Using the example of tyre data analysis in racing, Tarek showed how marginal gains and precise adjustments can make the difference between winning and losing. He explained that the same principles apply to organisations: leaders must learn to read subtle signals, fine-tune team dynamics, and make evidence-based adjustments before small issues become big failures.

His message was clear: high-performing teams aren’t built on chance — they’re engineered through clarity, adaptability, and trust.

Takeaway: Just as in motorsport, leadership success depends on recognising hidden dynamics and making the right adjustments at the right time.
