Why The 4C is different

Most tools measure personality or take a light pulse on sentiment. 4C maps how people experience the work environment across culture and team dynamics, then shows where perceptions align or diverge so you can choose the right first moves.

What we examine

We assess ten leadership-critical traits that our research and peer-reviewed work identify as the most crucial for sustained, high performance in organisations: decision making, information sharing, conflict resolution, communication, goal setting, feedback, adaptability, accountability, trust, innovation.

This focus reveals the real gaps that slow execution and points to a practical starting plan.

Heatmaps

What you see
A full-organisation heatmap that highlights where perceptions are most aligned or misaligned across the ten traits.

Why it matters

  • Makes the biggest gaps visible at a glance

  • Shows the traits with the lowest perceived strength

  • Helps you pick the first three shifts with the highest payoff

Tip for use
Start where low strength and high misalignment intersect. Small moves there create outsized gains.

HEATMAP

Radar Profiles

What you see
A radar view that compares groups and profiles, showing how different parts of the organisation experience the culture.

Why it matters

  • Reveals where groups experience the environment differently

  • Lets you define a positive profile to aim for

  • Helps balance competing pulls, for example control and creativity

Tip for use
Agree a target profile that fits your business need for the next quarter, for example scaling efficiently, accelerating innovation or tightening risk control. Keep it practical and measurable.

Dynamics Charts

What you see
For each team dynamic, a bar for the average and a run of dots that shows how consistent people’s experiences are.

Why it matters

  • The average shows current strength

  • The spread shows day-to-day consistency

  • Wide spread signals uneven experience that slows delivery

Tip for use
A 70 percent score across the four Dynamics dimensions is a useful threshold for high-performing teams. Pick one dimension with wide spread, agree one simple standard, pilot with a single team, and re-check in four weeks.

Diversity and Segmentation

What you see
A safe comparison of perceptions across the demographic lenses you choose. The aim is to understand patterns, not individuals.

Common options

  • Department or function

  • Role seniority or position

  • Gender

  • Age

  • Ethnicity

  • Neurodiversity

We can add other lenses to fit your context.
Minimum group sizes protect anonymity. By default we do not collect personal emails. If you need completion tracking, we can add an email field only for that purpose. Results remain anonymous to leadership.
