How much time does the certification require?

The certification takes around 9 to 12 hours in total.

This is usually spread across short workshops, applied learning and a practical case. It is designed to fit alongside your existing client work.

No. You can use the 4C Diagnostic within your own way of working.

Our IDEAL method and supporting materials are available if helpful, but you are not required to replace your existing approach.

The aim is to strengthen your practice, not make it generic.

Yes. Once certified, you can use the 4C Diagnostic with your own clients as part of your coaching, consulting or OD work.

You remain the lead practitioner for the client relationship. Synthosys provides the diagnostic, report and agreed support, while you integrate the insight into your own client work.

Who leads the client work?

Accepted Answer

If you bring the client, you lead the client relationship and the engagement.

Synthosys provides the 4C Diagnostic and supports you as agreed. If an enquiry comes directly to Synthosys, we lead the engagement, with the option to involve a certified associate when their expertise, location or language would benefit the client.

Does the 4C Diagnostic only work in certain sectors or organisation sizes?

No. The 4C Diagnostic is sector agnostic.

It can be used with teams and organisations of different sizes, usually from 6 people to 200+. It is designed to surface patterns in culture, team dynamics and leadership across many contexts, including business, healthcare, education, engineering, professional services and growth organisations.

Where can I use the 4C Diagnostic?

You can use the 4C Diagnostic globally.

There is no geographic exclusivity by default. We coordinate carefully to avoid conflicts, protect relationships and make sure client work is handled professionally.

How is client data handled?

Synthosys hosts the diagnostic and generates the full report.
We follow shared standards around confidentiality, anonymised outputs and respectful data handling. 
You lead the client work, while Synthosys manages the diagnostic process and reporting.

Can I certify other people in the 4C Diagnostic?

No. Your certification allows you to use the 4C Diagnostic in your own client work.
Training and certifying other practitioners remains with Synthosys.

How does pricing work after certification?

Once certified, your rate for using the 4C Diagnostic depends on factors such as team or organisation size, location and scope. Certified associates receive preferential pricing, so they can integrate the diagnostic into their work while staying competitive in their own market.
