In their article for the East Midlands Chamber Magazine, Synthosys co-founders Dr Vanessa Pozzali and Dr Tarek Jomaa explored the cultural and psychological impact of AI adoption in the tech industry.

They traced the shift from tech’s early days — where creativity and collaboration drove innovation — to today’s climate of efficiency, burnout, and isolation. Drawing on their TIC Model (Team, Individual, Culture), they highlighted how AI affects not just systems, but people: attention, creativity, decision-making, and empathy.

Their message was clear: technology is not neutral. The way organisations adopt AI will either fragment focus and erode culture, or strengthen resilience and unleash human potential.

Takeaway: Thriving in the age of AI isn’t about rejecting technology — it’s about integrating it consciously, with ethics, awareness, and cultures that keep people at the centre.
