In their opinion piece for Leadership Edge Magazine, Synthosys co-founders Dr Tarek Jomaa and Dr Vanessa Pozzali challenged conventional ideas of leadership legacy.

Drawing on their TIC Leadership Model, they argued that legacy isn’t about personal milestones or titles — it’s about creating balance across Teams, Individuals, and Culture. Leaders who focus too narrowly on one dimension risk fragility: brilliant mentorship that leaves teams fragmented, or high-performing teams that collapse when wider culture pushes back.

Through real-world examples, they showed how the most impactful leaders don’t just achieve success in the moment. They embed resilience into people, teams, and culture — ensuring that impact endures long after they’ve stepped aside.

Takeaway: Legacy in leadership isn’t measured by what you achieve, but by what you enable — the cultures and people who continue to thrive when you’re no longer in the room.
